Support The Chair Project
The Chair Project
We are officially heading into a new phase of Arteasy as we submitted our non-profit filing at the end of May 2026. This was a huge milestone, and now that we have the paperwork behind us, we are eager to kick start some fundraising initiatives. It’s hard to believe it, but it has been nearly five years since our first grand opening in October of 2021 in Cheverly!
Our Mission:
To create an inclusive community arts hub in South Baltimore that brings together creatives of all ages, encouraging artistic exploration, collaboration, and growth.
Our Pillars (how we envision achieving our mission):
Kids Programming. Introducing art as a way to foster independent decision making and instill confidence in kids from lower elementary school aged through high school.
Community Engagement. Providing opportunities to engage with art and creative expression for all - regardless of age, background, or experience level.
Artist Membership. Providing opportunity, collaboration, and community networks for early career and emerging artists and hobbyists.
How to Support & Get Involved!
❋ Kids: Share a Chair
Fundraiser Goal 1: Continue furthering a sense of connection, permanence, and belonging among our young artists, inviting them to leave a lasting impression!
Is your kid an avid Arteasy camp or after school program participant? We've scheduled a drop-off Saturday workshop, for kids to work in teams of 5 to design and paint their very own chair! A great way to have a lasting impact on the studio -- and a story to show-and-tell their friends every time they visit!
❋ Sponsor Community Collaboration
Fundraiser Goal 2: Continue to bring art to the community, inviting the public to add their personal touch to our chairs during upcoming markets and community events!
Are you a business, foundation, or a patron of local arts? If you’d like to sponsor a chair towards a free community painting endeavor, we’d love your support. For donations over $150, the donor’s name will be carved on the back of the chair, and it will painted at a free community day! This is a great way to give back to Arteasy and the community -- supporting our vision of barrier-free arts access.
❋ Support a Member Artist Chair!
Fundraiser Goal 3: Increase awareness of our artist membership program, by inviting you to participate in a collaborative art project!
We have asked a couple of our members to come up with a concept for a chair design of their own imagination -- and then we will invite you to join in on the execution of it! You do not have to be an experienced artist to join in on this collaborative art project. This is intended to be a social event that encourages anyone who is interested in learning more about the membership or the studio as whole to come in and hang out with our member artists!

Thank you for your support! This is a really exciting but critical time for Arteasy’s journey and growth in the neighborhood. We’re hoping to raise $5,000 over the summer period in order to meet critical operations costs: our kiln, 501c3 submission costs, staffing in order to provide affordable summer programming. We welcome your support and participation in this exciting endeavor!
