You are!
The goal of Arteasy is to create a space where individuals of all ages, experience levels, and perceived ‘creative ability’ can coexist, and exercise those creative muscles. We are a judgement free, low-intimidation, community-centric art space — and we genuinely want to see people of all walks of life come enjoy the benefits of including arts as part of your routine.
Our open studio is a great way to come see the space, check out the supply closets, meet our studio attendants, and see what we are all about! Open studio is unstructured craft time, which may feel intimidating! We recommend painting pre-made ceramics if its your first visit - our studio attendant will walk you through a tutorial, and we have a print-out to help guide you through the steps! We also have an inspiration binder which has some guided lessons for watercolor and coil pot building, as well as some craft print-out ideas to get your creative juices flowing.
If you’d prefer a bit more structure for your first visit, our classes and workshops are a great way to book a spot in a guided arts class, and get comfortable in the space before coming during the unstructured open studio hours. Check out our home page for the calendar of upcoming events!
For kids programming, we offer school’s out camps, weekend workshops, and after school programs with a couple of the local public schools!
If you are looking for more of an artistic community, check out our artist membership program! This is designed to provide emerging artists and hobbyists with a studio ‘home base’ for an affordable price, as well as the support of a community of like-minded individuals.
If you have any questions or want some guidance on what may be the right fit for you — don’t hesitate to contact us via email at info@arteasystudio.com.

We have one pottery wheel, a little kiln, a selection of glazes, and a lot of grit when it comes to making the most out of a small clay creation space! If you are interested in doing clay as a more serious hobby, the artist membership is strongly encouraged. It will be the most cost effective, and being part of the member community means we will be more familiar with your pieces, and be able to ensure higher standard of care for your clay as it moves through the phases of creation.
If you just want to be a casual clay pal - that’s totally fine! We can sell you clay by the lb or by the bag, and then you will pay for each of your open studio sessions individually. Open studio fees are $10 on Tuesdays, and $25 on weekend days. We only offer low-fire clay and glazes to non-members.
We do fire outside pieces, but you must let us know the type of clay you are using, and we strongly prefer you use our glazes. If you use your own glazes, you must provide photos of the glazes you are using. Pricing for firing outside pieces is determined on a case-by-case basis.
The kiln fires every 2-3 weeks for bisque and low fire temperatures, and approximately monthly for midrange glaze firings. You will leave a note with your email address or phone number next to your piece on the shelf, and we will send a text or email once your piece is out of the kiln.
The pottery wheel can be reserved via our open studio reservation system. You must watch the clay onboarding video before you can use the pottery wheel — you will get the video link sent to you in your reservation confirmation email.
If you have any further questions about clay at Arteasy, please email us at info@arteasystudio.com.

We have a few ways that you can do art with your children at Arteasy.
First, you can check out our current classes to see if we have any family-friendly offerings coming up! Typically the pricing for family friendly workshops is per-seat, where each attendee needs to buy their own ticket.
If you want to do art with your child in a less structured environment, we recommend coming to our Open Studio sessions! This is a great time to get messy & creative with your kids, without dealing with the aftermath of the clean-up in your own home :). Check out our calendar on the home page for our open hours & reservation information.

Yes! We love creating custom art-adventures for private events, onsite at our studio, or off-site at your party venue. We’ve got extensive experience catering to groups from 5 to 50 people, from ages 3 to 93, on a budget or extravagant.
Every private event that we plan begins with a discovery phase, where we learn more about the event, the guest(s) of honor, the age group, and any special interests or themes. Then we come up with a proposal with a few different options for you to choose from!

Our art shop and gallery is open during our weekly open studio hours! So even if you don’t want to do art yourself, you can support our artist members and local creatives via perusing our art shop. We have a large array of handmade goods, ranging from a few bucks to a few hundred bucks! Please keep us in mind when you are looking for a special and unique gift - for a wedding, birthday, housewarming, or more! We also have a lot of cards with original art or prints on the front.
You are also encouraged to peruse the shop when you join for a workshop or class, and the kids love saving up a few bucks to buy their favorite sticker or bracelet from the shop during camp days!
You can also find us around town at a few markets and festivals. For a list of our upcoming offsite vending locations, click here!

Arteasy does not have a parking lot. There is paid parking along Light Street and a paid garage on West Street, but there is also free parking around Riverside Park which is close to the studio. If you park on the street, be sure to read the parking signs to ensure you aren’t in a no-parking or residential-parking only spot!
